Days 1-2: Arriving at the eco-lodge, boasting awe-inspiring views, a waterfront restaurant and bar, before heading out for a full day of nature trekking along Volcan Mombacho and visiting the artistic community of Catarina
Day 3: Visiting the vibrant colonial town of Granada on the shore of Lake Nicaragua, perfect for kayaking and paddling
Day 4: Travelling to the archaeologically rich Zapatera National Park, an island that’s an extinct volcano, with the option of hiking to the summit, more than 2,000 feet high
Days 5-7: Discovering the rainforests of the Río San Juan, an internationally renowned conservation hot spot; spending two days kayaking, canoeing, rafting or trekking the region
Days 8-9: Returning to capital city Managua to explore museums and galleries before flying home
