Visits to Namche Bazaar, Thyangboche and Ama Dablam Base Camp, as well as superb views of Everest and the world’s most spectacular mountain range ensure it’s the ideal trek for first-timers and veterans alike.
Days 1-2: Flying from Kathmandu to the colourful town of Lukla to trek through Sherpa villages
Days 4-5: Marvelling at Namche Bazaar, a low-slung village in a valley beneath the Himalayan mountains, and taking a moment to rest and acclimatise to the conditions
Day 6: Hiking to Thyangboche Monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist icon with a rich history dating back to 1916
Days 7-8: Ascending to Ama Dablam Base Camp for the first truly spectacular views of towering, snow-capped Mount Everest
Days 9-12: Trekking to Khunde, near Nepal's sacred mountain of the Sherpas; witnessing Khumjung, at the foot of the Himalayas; visiting the Himalayan Trust projects to learn about the tremendous mountains
DAY 13-15: Returning to Kathmandu from Lukla for cultural sightseeing in the Nepalese capital
