You will cycle along gentle roads and winding paths through an ancient place that is rich with culture, history, spectacular landscapes and wildlife. You visit Sri Lanka’s iconic tea plantations, explore rural life and villages, venture into thick rainforest, climb up to colonial hill towns and discover Buddhist temples and Hindu monuments. All with time to spare for dips in the Indian Ocean.
Day 1: Arriving in Colombo before transferring to Negombo, on the palm-lined west coast of the island
Days 2-8: Cycling across rainforests and hill towns from Negombo to Induruwa Beach, Galle and Koggala Beach on the coast, then up through the middle of the island across Kandy and Sigiriya, the infamous rock fortress that was the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa
Days 9-11: Biking to Minneriya National Park in the northern half of the country, a fantastic wildlife hotspot, before transfering to Negombo to head home
